Welcome to your October 2018 Newsletter.
In last month’s newsletter, I spoke about personal psychology and specifically the positive effects of the early win, especially small financial wins.
There’s nothing more motivating than to do a strategy and make money fast.
Even if it’s a small amount, it sets up and reinforces a positive behaviour loop, and you are more likely to repeat that behaviour.
Now let’s face it, some strategies take just too darn long to pay off. They sound great ‘on paper’, but in reality, they are simply too difficult to pull off for most people quickly, if at all.
So you need to ask yourself, ‘is that strategy working in THIS Market?’ And do I have the resources (money and motivation) to stick it out?
And don’t kid yourself.
If the answer is ‘no’, get a better strategy suited to today’s market!
So right now, as I write this, we are half way through our final Live Airbnb Events for 2018.
Last night was our Gold Coast event, and at breakfast this morning prior to flying back to Sydney, my waitress asked me ‘So what do you do?’
I said we teach people strategies to make money on Airbnb.
... And, in her thick Czech accent, she immediately replied, ‘Oh that will never work!’
I spontaneously burst out laughing...
This young lady from the Czeck Republic, maybe in her later 20’s, living week-to-week, working three jobs just to make ends meet, with ZERO experience on Airbnb, told me what I know to be the hottest, most do-able property strategy right now, doesn’t work?!
Considering I had just recorded a Live interview with long-term team member Sherrie who now has SIX properties on Airbnb, I was gob-smacked! (and felt like I was talking to my dad in both attitude and heavy accent – he’s Yugoslav).

Anyway, I changed the subject quickly, but it reminded of two things:
1. Never to take financial advice from broke waitresses, and
2. MINDSET is everything.
In the world’s #1 wealth creation book Think and Grow Rich, author Napoleon Hill stressed the importance of having the right mental approach – and having an open mind to new ideas if you wish to make money, was at the top of the list.
If you don’t, your current conditioning will prove to be a life sentence.
